Changing the way the world ages!

Who We Are

Home Care Assistance is unique because Clinical Psychologists and Geriatric Care Managers, Jim and Kathy Davis started our organization in 2002 after having difficulty finding reliable caregivers for their parents.  Geriatricians specialize in understanding the needs of older adults and providing services that support these individuals.  As a result, Home Care Assistance provides caregivers who are better trained and more attuned to the special needs of older adults, especially their need for independence, dignity, comfort, and security.

Who We Serve
We serve individuals with physical and cognitive limitations throughout the entire Upstate of South Carolina. We provide qualified caregivers in all 10 counties of the Upstate including:

Our Caregivers
We only employ Certified Nursing Assistants who are top-notch and very compassionate, trustworthy, dependable, and loving caregivers. All CNAs pass comprehensive training, a psychological examination and background checks. Our caregivers are bonded and insured. All of our caregivers are trained in our exclusive Balanced Care Method - the nation's only training program to focus on the lifestyle factors that contribute to increased lifespan and health span; our caregivers don't just monitor clients - they actively ensure that their nutrition, physical activity and mental stimulation keep them balanced, sharp and engaged with life.

Collaboration & Partnership
We do not require a physician referral however we do collaborate and partner with medical providers and health care clinicians to keep their patients well, safe, out of the hospital, improve mobility, nutritional, and cognitive status, and provide companionship, quality care, vitals monitoring, medication assistance, mental stimulation, grocery shopping and meal preparation, bathing, dressing, housekeeping, and transportation services.

Home Care Services
We offer in home care as needed, half-day care, overnight care, as well as 24 hour a day live-in care. Home Care Assistance surpasses the care of other home care companies through our state of the art Balanced Care Program which not only keeps older adults safe and secure but also increases their quality of life through engagement of the mind, body and spirit.

Respite Care
We provide support, mental and physical breaks (respite care) and peace of mind to family members and loved ones who currently care for others.

Care Away from Home
Our caregivers can provide around the clock companionship, communication, and monitoring for safety during hospital stays. Residents of assisted living or nursing home facilities often rely on Home Care Assistance caregivers to provide additional personal care and companionship. Caregivers can also help outside the home by accompanying clients on vacations, family reunions, funerals, weddings, or special events.
